About Us

Our Mission

The mission of the Chagrin Falls Park Community Center is to empower individual and families to reach their full potential and unify the local neighborhood and the greater community.


Who We Are

Chagrin Falls Park Community Center is a non-profit program of Family and Community Services.   The Center is funded by Geauga County United Way and Geauga County Job and Family Services, as well as several foundations, local area churches, civic groups, corporations and individuals.  The Geauga County Department on Aging, which shares our building, provides a full range of activities for seniors in the Chagrin Falls Park and surrounding area.


What We Do

Youth Development Programs provide individualized academic tutoring and mentoring to students at no cost, promoting increased self-esteem and success in school.  Our Summer Day Camp keeps students on track academically while providing a safe recreational environment for growth.  The High School Program is integrated with opportunities offered at the Kenston School and focuses on planning for the future, developing job skills, goal setting and educational and career planning. 


Strategies for Life supports and encourages self-development on many levels.  The emergency services provided include food, utilities and meeting other critical needs, as well as referrals to other service providers for medical needs, counseling, job training and support.  Individual support encourages clients to develop strategies for the improvement of the health and welfare of the family.  Tools are provided through group workshops on such topics as budgeting and parenting.

Covers recipes for healthy meals, fortifying diets with colorful fruits and vegetables, importance of families eating together, how to easily prepare nutritious meals, and making healthier fast food choices.  Funded by Ohio Commission on Minority Health.
